As the year winds down, I always take a moment to reflect on what leadership has taught me. Not just through successes, but through the challenges that stretched me. Leading with gratitude has been a pivotal aspect of my journey. It has helped me rise above difficulties.

This year, I’m grateful for the leaders who continued to show up even when their teams were tired. The market was uncertain, or the pressure was heavy. Truly, leading with gratitude has helped these leaders push through challenges. I’m grateful for the clients who shared their struggles openly. Growth always starts with honesty. And I’m grateful for the moments when things didn’t work the first time. Those are the moments that sharpen leaders more than any win ever will.

Leadership is rarely clean. It’s human. It’s imperfect. Leading with gratitude requires heart, patience, and resilience. But when you see a team come alive, when people reconnect with purpose and start winning together, it makes every difficult season worth it.

As you head into the weekend, I’d encourage you to pause and ask yourself: how are you leading with gratitude within your team?

Reflection: What leadership moments from this year, even the uncomfortable ones, ended up helping you grow the most?

PS: If you’re a leader in a small or mid-sized business and have a story about growth, resilience, or transformation, I’d love to hear it. 🎥 Your journey might inspire others on Lead Empowered TV, where we spotlight real leaders building strong, high-performing cultures.
