At the surface, most leadership decisions look rational. But underneath? They’re almost always rooted in belief, which is why faith-based leadership plays such a significant role in shaping those choices.
This week, take an honest look back and ask yourself: Did I lead from fear… or from faith?
Fear-based leadership often sounds like:
- “What if this fails?”
- “What will people think?”
- “I need to control this outcome.”
It plays it safe, avoids risk, and protects image over impact.
Faith-based leadership sounds different:
- “This is the right move, even if it’s uncomfortable.”
- “Growth requires trust, not control.”
- “I’m willing to take the long road for the right reasons.”
It leans into courage, prioritizes people, and trusts that doing the right thing will produce the right fruit – eventually.
Here’s the hard truth:
You can get short-term results from fear. But you will never build lasting influence with it.
Your team can feel the difference. Fear tightens a room. Faith expands it.
So reflect honestly: Where did fear show up in your leadership this week?
- A conversation you softened…
- A decision you delayed…
- A risk you avoided…
And now the better question: What would faith have done differently?
Because leadership isn’t just about what you do. It’s about what you believe.
And your beliefs are always on display.
