How you begin your week often determines how you finish it! Leading with intention can set the tone for a successful and fulfilling week ahead.
Most leaders roll into Monday in reaction mode – checking email before their feet hit the floor, jumping into back-to-back meetings, and letting urgency crowd out clarity. But high-impact leaders know something different:
When you don’t set the tone, the week will set it for you.
That’s why I recommend starting out each week with a simple, 15-minute Reflection Exercise – an intentional practice that will anchor your purpose and energy at the start of every week.
Here’s the framework:
- Gratitude (5 minutes) Take a breath. Write down 3 things you’re thankful for. These don’t have to be big. Small wins are great too! Gratitude resets your lens and reminds you that leadership is a privilege, not just a responsibility.
- Vision (5 minutes) Review your Big Picture. What are your goals, your “why,” your team’s purpose? Ask yourself: “If I only moved the needle in one area this week, what would matter most?” This keeps you focused on impact, not just activity.
- Intention (5 minutes) Name 1–2 actions you’ll take this week that will multiply momentum for your team. These aren’t tasks – they’re intentional moves. Write them down and protect the time to act on them.
🔥This week’s Empowerment Challenge: Before you dive into the noise of the week, give yourself the gift of 15 quiet, intentional minutes. Gratitude. Vision. Intention. Notice how your energy shifts and how your team feels the difference in the way you show up.
